13% To effectively communicate the paramedic student must demonstrate proficiency with oral and written communications. The paramedic student is expected to use, in all forms of communications, the appropriate medical terminology. 13% To maintain good health, the paramedic student must understand the effects that stress has on themselves, their fellow workers, the patient, and the patient’s family. The paramedic student must understand the physical demands placed on a paramedic and must meet those demands with good wellness habits. 13% To treat patient’s effectively the paramedic student must demonstrate proficient medication administration routes such as intramuscular sites to administer a wide variety of medications. With standing orders, the paramedic is responsible to determine what medication and how much of that medication will be administered. 13% The paramedic student must be able to recognize a wide range of disease processes and emergency conditions. The paramedic must then establish treatment priorities for each patient. 20% 20% 20% 20% 20% 20, 20, 20, 20, 20
13% The paramedic student must be able to remove the patient from any environment and safely deliver the patient to hospitals and other locations of medical care as quickly as possible without causing further harm to those who are sick or injured and without placing themselves, their fellow emergency worker or the public at greater risk. 20% 20% 20% 20% 20% 20, 20, 20, 20, 20
