Year 1 - Institutional Engagement (Oregon Institute of Technology)
Institutional Objectives - Outcome to be achieved
A: Creation of the DQP team and leadership consisting of the Provost, Director of Assessment and Chair of the Assessment Commission.
B: Exploring the efficacy of the DQP in conjunction with a review of general education requirements and outcomes at Oregon Tech.
C: Attend the DQP conference and inform relevant stakeholders.
Linkages - Related institutional initiatives/projects
A: Inform the strategic planning process at Oregon Tech.
B: Charge to review general education at Oregon Tech.
C: Continuing improvement of the assessment process.
Processes - How outcome will be achieved
A: The DQP team will be appointed by the Provost.
B: Creation of a general education review committee which includes members from the DQP team. Charge from the Provost to review general education incorporating the use of the DQP along with other methods.
C: Attendance at conference and reports at committee meetings.
Progression - Milestones and dates to achievement
A: Creation of the team and the initial meeting was held in June 2012.
B: Members appointed to the General Education Review Committee--January 15, 2013
Charge delivered to the General Education Review Committee--January 31, 2013
Committee begin the process and create a timeline--February 28, 2013.
C: Conference attended October 2012, meetings with the Executive Committee of the Assessment Commission and the General Education Advisory Council March 1, 2013.
